The Building Blocks of Reign of Kings[ | ]
Buildings Materials, or blocks as they are most commonly referred to as - make up the structures players build onto the world by means of cubic blocks, flat slanted ramps, and stairs. The latter two types of blocks can have their rotational orientation flipped and rotated in every logical direction. The high quality blocks repel all damage unless it is Siege Damage by the usage of a Ballista or a Trebuchet. There are no gravity physics currently, and this leaves building capabilities only to your wildest dreams and imagination. You can build houses, forts, keeps, castles, towers, bridges, sky-bridges and floating fortresses. Limited only by the sky, ground terrain and your imagination.

Strategies & Tips[ | ]
- Because of the fact that Dirt and Hay are rather slow and difficult resources to gain lots of, players often feel discouraged to start and maintain bases using Tier 1 blocks and they instead, skip straight to Wood and Log structures for the durability and ease of harvesting.
- Build walls 4 completely visible blocks above the ground to keep intruders from jumping over by jumping on other player's heads or nearby terrain. If players still manage to get over, they are exploiting the game and these instances should be reported.
- You can remove blocks by wielding empty hands [ ` Key ] or with blocks equipped and wielded in your hotbar. To remove, look at the target block and right-click it. This can only be done for a short while after placing the block yourself, unless the area has a crest in it and it is conquered. If that is the case, the owner of the crest and any of their fellow guild members can remove the blocks.
- You can build flat planes by holding left-click and dragging off the nearest edge in the desired build direction.
- Build walls on a 45 degree angle using ramps for the half block sections to produce a smooth wall with the strength of three blocks but a thickness of only slightly more than one block.
